Peoples Academy raced to an early 1st half 3 goal lead and held on to defeat Green Mountain Union 3-1 in Morrisvile, Vermont on October 31,2009. The win put the Wolves into the Vermont D3 girls soccer semi-final round. Peoples' Chelsea Hostetter scored twice and teammate Erin Nichols booted home another. Green Mountain's lone goal came on a penalty kick from Lindsey Walton. PA goalie Kaleigh Newton stopped 2 shots and GMU's Georgia Ladd turned away 8 shots.
